Chris Bouchard was born and raised in Burlington, forty years in this city, most of it in rural-north Ward 6. He's running for City and Regional Councillor on two things this ward keeps asking about: where the tax increases are actually going, and what happens next at Millcroft.

Chris was born and raised in Burlington, forty years in this city, most of it in rural-north Ward 6. He grew up around small business: his father ran one, and his mother stepped back from it to focus on her writing and church work. That early exposure shaped how he sees Burlington's local businesses to this day.
He spent over six years as a project and account manager, growing accounts for national retail and logistics clients. In one role, he built a nationwide accessibility program retrofitting automatic door systems at corporate sites, heavy doors that some employees with disabilities couldn't safely operate even with a standard accessibility button, redesigning the system to meet code and remove that barrier for good.
He's also sat across the table from a school board on a facilities and fire-safety upgrade plan for elementary and secondary schools. The deal didn't close, but the process taught him something most first-time candidates don't know going in: how good intentions inside a city or institution get slowed down or shelved without someone who understands how the operational side actually works.
